Many years ago, when I met my wife, she was the most amazing person that I had ever met. She was intelligent, generous and an artist at heart. We were a perfect match, and I knew that someday I would marry her.
The one thing that I particularly liked was that she loved photography. It seemed that wherever we went, she brought her camera and took some of the most amazing photographs that I have ever seen. In fact, she has won a number of awards over the years for some of the photos she has taken and we have tons of pictures all over the wall.
Though I initially loved her photographic talents, since we were married, things have changed. You see, a couple of weeks into the marriage, she decided that she was going to take pictures of me every day. I was flattered and thought that it was going to be a passing phase, so I no complaints when she suggested the idea. I figured that she was just going to keep them in an album in case she missed me while I was gone on a business trip, but I was wrong.
My wife was obsessed with me.
I came home one night from a business trip only to find a photo pillow (with me on it) sitting on the couch. It was cool I supposed, but I was tired and I made my way to our bedroom. Our Hawaiian bedding had been replaced with a photo blanket with my face on it. At this point I was really worried.
I voiced my concerns about her obsession with me the following day, and she told me that it was just a passing fad. She still takes pictures of me, but thankfully has not bought any more things with my photos on them. I just hope that with my birthday coming up that she doesn’t get the idea to surprise me with a gift with my photo on it - that just might be grounds for divorce.

Long standing vegetarian and vegan parents may already know how to make sure their child is raised in an environment that is conducive to good health, but for those of us who are just joining the eco train, certain concepts may seem foreign and hard to grasp.
That is when the aid of a homeopathic pediatrician becomes invaluable, especially for parents of a newborn baby.
In some cases, these specialists can be contacted online or via telephone, eliminating the need for an in office visit. Once contacted, they can give you advice on how to keep your baby safe from the chemicals and air born allergens that can cause illnesses in small children.
One of the many items that a pediatrician of this type may tell you to purchase is an organic Moses basket. These wonderful, portable cradles are usually made of all natural cottons and materials and are sturdy enough for every day use.
The doctor may also inform you to purchase a water distiller, especially if, for any reason, you have to use a powdered formula. Distilled water is also best to bath a baby in as it is free of the minerals that will strip the oils found on baby’s skin.
If you really wish to learn all the things you can do to practice holistic child care, call a pediatrician who specializes in homeopathic medicine righty away!

My mom is hard to shop for. This is partly because my parents are pretty well to do, and partly because she’s the kind of person who doesn’t want a lot of things. My parents have lived in the same house for 25 years, and they’d never think of moving. They have everything they need, and she’d rather not collect a lot of useless tidbits to collect dust. Last year was their 30th anniversary, and, a week later, my mom turned 50 years old. My siblings and I wanted to get something special, so we paid for her to have some sedation dentistry done.
She would never have thought to get cosmetic dentistry for herself. I’m not sure what the polite way to put this is, but her mouth is slightly disfigured. She had a slanted smile and (again, this probably isn’t a sensitive way to phrase it) bad teeth. She wasn’t exactly self-conscious about her mouth, but she knew that she had a problematic smile and I think it always interfered with her ability to think of herself as attractive.
I think she would have considered the operation to be a little self-indulgent, but we all decided that everyone deserves to feel confident about her appearance. She was so proud and happy afterwards-the smile makeover was the best gift we ever gave her.

Where do embers go when they spark from a fire, leaping into the atmosphere and up? For that matter, where do balloons go when accidentally released? I imagine them bumping against the edge of the atmosphere like it is a rigid and definite thing. Alternatively, maybe they pop before they get that far. Then what if they pop, do the pieces rocket down to earth, embedding in sand or soil or water? Could I possibly be walking along a totally deserted forest and look down and see the remains of a red balloon?
Maybe they just keep going, out into the cosmos until their inertia fails them and they hang, transfixed in a weightless environment. These are just some of the thoughts I had last night, staring into one of the outdoor fireplaces. We have an outside kitchen, and sometimes I get so lost, sitting there and staring into the fire, that by the time I wash my hands in the outdoor sink, the cold water is like a shock back to reality. It feels like a knife, spearing through my mind and pinning me into my life, until the next night, when I’m sitting in front of the fire and my mind can break apart at will.
