Archiving materials from your executive MBA program

You’re going through all of the trouble to achieve success in an online executive MBA program. You probably want to be able to remember the information that you are working so hard to learn. However, the nature of school is often such that we learn the material as it’s needed for exams and then fail to remember it when we actually want to apply it. The information that you’re getting from your executive MBA program will be useful to your business for years to come so you want to make sure that you don’t just forget it in this manner. Archiving your educational materials as you gather them is a terrific way to preserve the information that you need without forcing yourself to rely on your brain.

If you’re getting your MBA degree online, your best bet is to archive the information on your computer. You’re already going to be doing all of your work online so you can easily keep everything in one location. You can even scan important information from your textbooks into the computer and archive it with the rest of your materials. Before you get too far into your degree program, sit down and sketch out an organized archiving system. Figure out how you want to store files so that you can access them without problems later on. Don’t forget to make back-ups. Then set aside time each week to archive the information so that it doesn’t build up. By making this a habit, you’ll be setting up a great ritual for keeping track of all the business information that you’ll need for the rest of your professional career.
