Individuals and organizations have always wanted to keep documentation about their activities. Archivists identify and preserve portions of this recorded information that have lasting value. These records, and the places they are kept, are called "archives." This blog will hopefully serve as an archive for many documented activities and general interesting information.

My Sister’s Supra »
By swan480 on Jul 21, 2008 in Automotive | 0 Comments
My sister was always a fan of the Toyota Supra. Her first car was a 1986 ½ Supra — the half because halfway through the year, they changed to the new body style and the larger 3.0 inline six-cylinder engine. She loved that car — but unfortunately it was her high school and college car, so it took a pretty good beating.
A few years ago, she decided it was time to upgrade. Of course, she knew she wanted another Supra — just, this time, a newer one. She hunted and hunted for a Supra at a good price and with good mileage, and finally bought a 1997 Toyota Supra from someone in Maryland — more than halfway across the country from us.
Her new car is absolutely fantastic — well worth the time and hassle of finding the perfect car. It has aftermarket wheels and plenty of chrome accessories. The car has those crystal blue headlights and fog lights. The car has some really high tech auto accessories, such as exhaust and a cold air intake — which reduces the amount of resistance and makes it easier for the engine to "breathe," thereby increasing horsepower.
My sister now has another car as a daily driver, but the Supra is — and always will be — her baby!

Landscaping of Homes for Sale in Florida »
By Kathryn on Jul 10, 2008 in Real Estate | 0 Comments
When you are looking at homes for sale in Florida, the thing that you’re going to be looking at is the house itself. You may also take care to consider aspects of the house such as the neighborhood in which it is located but your primary concern will be that the home structure itself is designed in a way that suits you. This is particularly true when looking at purchasing custom homes.
The design of the home is crucial to whether or not you’re going to like it but you’re not going to want to neglect additional factors as you look at homes for sale. For example, you may want to carefully consider the landscaping that exists and that which is possible around the home. If you’ve always wanted a waterfront home, then you should aim to find this when seeking out your new place.
Landscaping options will vary greatly from area to area. What works well for the yards of custom homes in Tampa may not be suitable for the yards of custom homes in Orlando. Being aware of the natural limitations of landscaping caused by the climate and local neighborhood design is going to help you to choose the home that you’ll want to keep coming home to for a long time to come.
